Welcome & Mission Statement: On Friday, September 21, waking up from anesthesia after what was supposed a routine appendectomy, I was told that I have cancer. The appendix as well as part of my colon was removed as well as a 1.5" tumor and somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty lymph nodes. They couldn't get it all as the spread was to some delicate places. 

Family and friends have asked me to keep them informed, so I'll be posting here about the experience with chemotherapy (and the odd post about my hobbies and interests on occasion just to blow off a little steam).
